I am passionate about creating warm and lovely experiences for users! I believe that empathy is the pathway to success and am an eager learner who is seeking new opportunities to grow as a designer as well as an individual as a whole!
I graduated from UC San Diego in 2022 with a BS in Cognitive Science specializing in Design and Interaction. During my time at college, I completed group projects through classes and grew in my knowledge in Figma and Procreate.
For about 2 years now, I have worked as a barista for two small businesses. I particularly am drawn to small businesses due to the care and detail the owners often have for both their workers and customers. It was an incredible experience to work alongside a diverse crew and to learn how to best meet the needs of the customers. I was able to utilize my creativity through latte art and colorful desserts.
From fall of 2022 to summer of 2023, I was a classroom aide for Kindergarteners at a private school in San Diego. It was truly eyeopening to learn how to empathize with 5 year olds and guide them with love and order. I look back at that time with much fondness from the precious memories I made with the students as well as the insightful lessons that these children had graced me with. I had also created collages for their memory books through Canva and learned how to utilize that program as well.

This is a personal project I created from a passion for psychology as well as creativity. I was heavily inspired by websites like Cosmos Personality Test as well as Cake Resume to create my own personality test with a fantasy spin on it. I greatly enjoy immersive world building such as the Legend of Zelda and Studio Ghibli which I also gained inspiration from as well! This personality test is meant to be an enjoyable and exciting journey through a fantasy world to which you end with understanding yourself and how you relate to others better!
I started with gaining insight into the flow and navigation of personality tests through test taking on several different websites. After that, I began with a low fidelity model as a base. From there, I drew my own backgrounds and characters and transferred them into gifs to add a lively touch to the test so that the user can enjoy a vibrant and diverse setting. Finally, I created different results that the user will receive depending on how the test plays out.
The link sent below is a prototype to the website I will launch a little later. It includes iterations, however, the end result remains the same so far, whether or not it is answered differently. This project is still ongoing, but I wanted to showcase the prototype as of right now!

Our client, Janice Dru-Bennet, presented our team a comprehensive problem: she found that the current means of portraying the progress of global sustainability to be divided, usually focused on individual project results rather than progress as a whole. As such, she desired her website sustainabletracker.com to encapsulate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a whole while improving the visualization of the website in order to bring more attention to SDGs.
Our client’s goal presents our audience’s needs: “How can I properly navigate towards finding out more about SDGs without the trouble of widespread information?”
With this presented problem from our audience, we decided to create a dashboard that can be implemented into her website to educate the general public while congregating other advocates with an experience that is easy to navigate and fun to use. We began at the first SDG which is the No Poverty goal and hoped it can be used as a template for the 16 other SDGs.
The interactive dashboard contains a combination of graphics that showcase the most relevant statistics and information with regards to the specific SDG, it also contains heatmaps and data charts that inform where progress has been made to achieve the goal of the specific SDG.
Our design project was completed through Figma. The first step to creating our dashboard was making a sitemap. Rather than asking what our dashboard would look like, we first needed to answer “What can our dashboard provide?” and then brainstorm different pages that would answer that question. The sitemap directed us to the need for three tabs with separate categories within each tab that could be used to give specific information. We then create a task flow. We created seven different tasks that a user can perform on our dashboard and created a map that would illustrate the pages they would navigate through in order to achieve those tasks. The last step before creating wireframes was the user flow. “What would the user think as they navigate through the dashboard pages?” This allowed us to visualize the placement of pages and buttons so that the user can have an optimal experience that is clear and easy to use.
Low-fidelity wireframes were then created to physically determine the layout of the dashboard. Multiple alternatives were created and the best one, based on aesthetics and possible user experience, was chosen. Then, mid-fidelity prototypes were created to illustrate the possible interactions between each page including any drop down and hovering effects. This allowed us to gain vision as to what the final product will look like. Before moving to a high-fidelity prototype, we created a mini UI kit to determine fonts, colors, and buttons. Red was chosen as the primary color because it is not only the color of SDG 1, but it also invokes a call to action that will hopefully move users to support, promote, or donate towards the cause. Lastly, the high-fidelity wireframe was made. Each target goal contains multiple frames because there needs to be a frame for every hover-able target goal along with the combination of each chart.

Our team was tasked to create a mobile application that would satisfy the needs of a particular group. After researching different forums and searching across boards concerning application complaints, we found that there was a lack of applications for individuals who have an interest in cooking. This began our development of our Yummy Application, which sought to meet the needs of individuals who love to cook but do not know where to start.
We began by analyzing various applications that contained cooking videos such as Youtube and Food Network apps. Through our analysis of the apps themselves as well as user interviews focused on their experience with these apps, we discovered that users had trouble with these various applications because of its usability difficulties which include: lack of specific categories for videos, unclear watch later button, absence of ingredient list and where to find them.
This process of application development first began with our individual sketches of how we would want the application to appear. We brainstormed the different pages the user can navigate through as well as the particular buttons that would be necessary to have. Not only this, we utilized our own user personas to help us hone in on the user’s wants and needs, not just our own. Through the use of a style guide, we found the best color combinations and font selections. We also created moodboards to help our focus and direction within the project.
With all of this in mind, we began the app development in Figma to put our ideas to life, placing different recipes within categories and under specific hashtags to appeal to the correct audiences. We added a watch later icon that was clearly visible to the user as well as an ingredient list that could be easily accessed. This ingredient list not only showed where you can find the items that were needed but could even be purchased through the application itself. The user is also able to navigate through different sorting methods including Most Popular, Most Viewed, and Most Recent. Throughout the entire application, we placed vibrant images, fun icons, and an alluring title page to create a fun environment that the users will continue to want to return to. With these improvements, we hope the user will not only find the application easy to use, but also experience an enjoyable environment and community.

My sticker business was born during the summer of 2020, the height of COVID-19, when people around the world were stuck in their homes with too much time on their hands. I initially started this business with little expectation of actually getting many sales. It was mostly a creative outlet where I could design cute stickers to give to friends and family to brighten their day. I had always enjoyed drawing growing up, and had never thought that I could possibly sell my own work before. It was very exciting to see the business take off after a few months, and I learned so much about business and how in art there is a sense of commercialization.
Although I do not fully believe that art should be commercialized, I did begin to realize what customers like more than other products. I believe there is importance in being up to date with pop culture and trends to a certain extent due to the fact that customers would be more inclined to buy products that appeal to them. When my works began to reach a particular audience, I saw sales continue to rise. It was a difficult balance to continue to have artistic liberty while pleasing the audience at hand, which is a balance I will continue to learn and grow in. I use the application, Procreate, on my Apple iPad and a Cricut machine to create these stickers.
It is so exciting to explore new skills and discover different ways to live!
